Your Tasks
Purpose of the Role
As Technical Sales Manager, you will serve as the technical and commercial interface between Budenheim and its clients. You’ll promote and sell our advanced food ingredient solutions, particularly in the baking and savory sectors, while providing expert technical support to R&D and distribution partners. This is a high-impact role focused on business development, customer relationship management, and solution-driven sales.
Technical Sales & Customer Relations
Promote and sell Budenheim’s full food ingredients portfolio and services.
Provide hands-on technical support to both existing and prospective customers.
Partner with customer R&D departments to co-create solutions.
Support and train distribution partners.
Manage pricing, quotations, and terms within commercial guidelines.
Serve as the go-to technical contact for customer queries in the region.
Lead the sales planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes.
Market Development
Identify trends, customer needs, and white space opportunities in the U.S. market.
Gather and analyze competitor intelligence and pricing strategies.
Develop region-specific product and application ideas in collaboration with the innovation team.
Reporting & Strategic Input
Maintain CRM records (Salesforce) and submit customer visit reports.
Contribute to product development roadmaps and innovation pipelines.
Additional Expectations
Willingness to travel up to 50% within the United States.
Represent Budenheim at exhibitions, trade shows, and industry seminars.
Your Profile
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum 5 years of technical sales/service experience, ideally in the food ingredient industry.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Food Technology, Nutrition, or related life sciences.
Strong understanding of food processing, formulation, and nutritional trends.
Commercial acumen with a problem-solving, proactive mindset.
CRM knowledge (Salesforce preferred) and excellent communication skills.
Collaborative, team-oriented attitude with customer-first thinking.
